KEN STARNES, Founder of Whirl Helicopter, received his undergraduate degree in Finance from East Tennessee State University in 1988. Over the past 20 years Ken has applied his life-long passion for flying and business administration background within the corporate aviation field.

In 1999 Ken successfully founded Cerulean Jet, Inc., a lucrative jet charter brokerage company which continues to be in operation under his direction today.

Ken’s experience includes over 8,000 flight hours as Pilot in Command for fixed-wing and helicopter aircraft. He maintains his commercial pilot and instrument ratings for single and multi-engine land aircraft and single engine sea aircraft. Ken also has ratings for BeechJet type aircraft, Citation type aircraft, and of course helicopters.

BRAD BARNETT, Co-Founder of Whirl Helicopter, is also the founder and CEO of TalMar Development, a successful real estate and development firm in Atlanta, Georgia.

Brad maintains his private pilot ratings for single engine aircraft and has over 4,000 hours of flight hours as Pilot in Command.

Chief Pilot

CHIP MORRIS, Chief Pilot for Whirl Helicopter, received his undergraduate degree from University of Central Florida in 1988. Upon graduation he entered the corporate world serving in an accounting capacity until 1995 when he founded Morris Property Management.

Chip realized his enthusiasm for flying towards the end of the decade and began flying in early 2000, earning his pilot’s license in 2002. He continued his training and achieved a position as a Corporate Helicopter Pilot as well as a Flight Instructor.

Chip has over 2,500 hours of helicopter flying time. He maintains his CFI, Commercial Pilot and Rotorcraft ratings and is currently working towards fixed wing ratings for Commercial Pilot, Multi-Engine and Instrument. Chip has received additional training with Eurocopter Factory Flight Training and the Robinson Factory Safety Course.
